Our commitments

Our sustainable commitments

Sustainable hotels, our challenge:

The Paristory Group, made up of four Parisian boutique hotels - the Grand Powers, the Grand Hôtel du Palais Royal, the Plaza Tour Eiffel and the Prince de Conti - is committed every day to a responsible approach, combining adaptability and innovation in an urban setting. The CSR approach is a daily challenge, especially with listed Haussmann-style buildings that require special attention.

Well-being as a global approach:

Our CSR approach is based above all on common sense and well-being. We are committed to ensuring the comfort of our customers and the well-being of our employees, by creating a healthy environment. This quest for harmony guides each of our decisions in a committed and considered way.

The words of the Marang sisters, owners of Paristory group:

‘Our customers and employees expect concrete action. Every day, and at every level, our decisions are made taking into account our social and environmental responsibility. The hotel of tomorrow will be responsible.’

Our environmental commitments

Respecting the environment:

  • We follow a strict ecological cleaning protocol, without chemicals, using an ozonatedwater plant and dry steam machines. All our hotels are Green Key certified, attesting ofour sustainable and ecological commitment.
  • Reducing our energy consumption and waste production: Our air conditioning systems are energy-efficient, and we use thermostats and motiondetectors to optimise energy and lighting, with energy-saving LED bulbs. Guests can alsochoose to renew their bathroom linen.

Promoting sustainable purchasing:

Our Café 52 restaurants favour short circuits, organic produce and fair trade products, witha mainly plant-based menu headed by Chef Maxime Raab. We work with responsible partners who share our values, such as Les Alchimistes, whose mission is to transform food waste into compost to nourish the soil, Wesh Grown, a committed urban market gardener, and the Bee Happy association for quality honey. We also demand a strong commitment to CSR from our suppliers.. This approach is very much in line with our need to be Ecotable and to have our restaurants certified. We have eliminated plastic, opting for products with a lowenvironmental impact, and work with Hôtels Solidaires charity to redistribute unused hygieneproducts to people in need.

Our social commitments

Recruitment and commitment:

We guarantee parity in our teams, with 65% women and 55% men, and offering equalopportunities to all candidates registered with Pôle Emploi. We regularly train interns, 10% ofwhom joined our team, and we support charities committed to human rights and socialissues.

Managing, listening and supporting:

We create an environment conducive to personal fulfilment and professional development, with a strong tendency to promote our trainees to managerial positions. We encourage allour employees to get involved in improving our hotels through CSR committees. We ensuregood working conditions, offer regular training and appropriate tools, and provided morethan 4,500 hours of training last year.

Care and integration:

We see our hotels as places where our staff can live and work, ensuring their well-being and a good work-life balance. We compensate all overtime and offer yoga and relaxation sessions. Every month we celebrate the Employee of the Month and designate an Employee of the Year with a special gift. Employees with one year's seniority enjoy an experience in one of our hotels. We also organise regular events to strengthen the cohesion and integration of our teams.

Our story

Who are we?

For the past 25 years, a family story rooted in transmission and passion has been unfolding. It all began in the 1990s with Gilles Marang, a real estate expert who ventured into the Parisian hospitality industry.
In 2008, his eldest daughter, Alexandra Marang, joined him to help expand the group. In 2017, her sister, Julie Marang, brought her experience in the fashion industry to the group, taking charge of its image.
Today, Alexandra and Julie Marang independently manage four hotels, each located in iconic Parisian neighborhoods, offering their own unique charms.
